Our 'Garden in a Can' products are made with a steel can and have a lining with trace amounts of BPA that does not affect plants in any way. The issue with BPA in canned food packaging is that the cans need to be heated at very high temps before hitting the shelves. This high heat packaging process allows BPA to leak into food. Because we do not heat our potting mix in the cans, BPA does not leak into the soil. Still, we are currently working hard to further lower the amounts of BPA in the cans we use with the ultimate goal of going BPA-free.
